DS FROZEN FOODS: FRESH AND DELICIOUS
06/04/2009
Did you know that already back in 1930* the inhabitants of the American town of Springfield in Massachusetts could find
frozen foods in the local grocery stores?
The inventor - in a manner of speaking - was the
marine biologist Clarence Birdseye who, during his travels for research, noticed how the Eskimos were able to preserve meat and fish by freezing them. The stocks lasted through the winter, maintaining their flavor for months and months, and only had to be thawed to be the same as fresh foods once again.
The same applies to the frozen foods we use today, but the
freshness and goodness are not the only advantages of DS frozen foods.
Ingredients
Eating healthy foods is not a problem: frozen foods are harvested in their prime and processed immediately, so as to
preserve the nutritional substances and freshness at the low freezing temperature.
Every day a
different dish, all year long: that’s right – because freshly picked fruit and vegetables have the highest concentration of nutritional substances. Since most fruit is available only in the summer, and some vegetables only in the autumn or winter, by freezing them it is possible to ensure their
availability even out of season.
Freezing foods, unlike any other methods of preservation, makes it possible to
maintain the quality of the raw materials and the natural goodness of the products.
Ready to enjoy in minutes
Don’t waste time in the kitchen: frozen foods are quick to prepare: just cook, serve and enjoy! You’ll have more time to devote to your family or friends.
What would life be like without DS!
